Ode to Perry
Sherman and Perry were my beloved turtles. Sherman sadly kicked the bucket, and Perry's been all by his lonesome ever since his brother's death. A few years later, I left for college, but I think about him all the time, and I realize that we never celebrated his birthday! As a matter of fact, we as a family have never treated Perry special, and to make up for our lousy behavior, I have painted a picture (using acrylics and not oil, but I didn't see acrylics on the list, so oh well.) to commemorate him. He's still alive, thank the Jesus, but it's always nice to do a fancy, cute art piece for one of your favorite animals.
(Disclaimer: Our Perry does not like strawberries, but I was inspired by all the adorable turtles reaching for the fruit that I just had to use those pictures as my model reference!)
