Escape
The music filled me. It was a pulsing beat that overrode the one coming from my heart. People pressed up against me in a sweating, screaming mass, but I didn’t notice it. I just raised my hand, giving the ‘rock on’ sign. I closed my eyes, jumping, moving to the beat. It wasn’t even a very good song. It just offered an escape, and I took it. It was my escape. My only escape. The only thing that could make me forget… you.
