“Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary. And Thyme.
Remember me to one, who lives there,
He was once a true love of me…………”

The sweet melody drifted through the air from the sweet angel’s lips, Gabriel was transfixed as the last word floats pass her lips in a sweet whisper. The angel didn’t notice him there and if she did she didn’t care for she kept singing and playing a lovely melody on her flute.

“Tell him to make me a cambric shirt.
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme.
Without a seem or needle work.
Then he’ll true love of mine……………”

As Gabriel walked close to her, her voice seem to grow louder, Heaven and Earth grow silence as her voice smoothed the world in a quiet sleep. Her voice gently called the night upon the forest as a mother did her children. A deer come softly to her and she rested her hand on its head and softly sings the last words, before playing her flute.

“Tell him to find me an acre of land.
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme.
Between salt water and the sea strand.
Then he’ll be a true love of mine………”

She got up off the large rock her white gown swirled around her as if she was in a mist of water. Her hair floated down long and endless like the midnight sky without the moon or stars in it mists. She twirled around and round so gracefully on her bared feet, as she did the lifeless forest burst into life, wind woke the leaves, as the leaves woke the trees, and the trees woke the animals, and the animals woke the living and the living woke the dead. Gabriel watched as she continued to play on her flute not playing attention to the world dancing around her. Then she open her moon color eyes, fixing them on Gabriel, putting him in a spell without saying the words. She smiled:

“Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme.
Remember me to one who lives there,
He was once a true love of mine”

He reached out to touch her hand, but couldn’t for she had stretch out her dove-like wings and disappeared in the luminous dark, leaving only her voice drifting through the air and hugging softly around Gabriel’s heart, not wanting to leave.
