Mr. Holmes, you certainly are remarkable. You forget that I am a woman of the stage; I can recognize an actor when I see one. Although, I must admit, you honestly had me convinced for a moment that you were indeed an injured clergyman. How could I turn away a man of God, especially one who risked his life to protect me? I commend you on your ability to throw yourself into such an unusual role. The stage is honestly losing an extraordinary talent. I presume the men whom you ‘Saved me’ from were also actors. Do not fool yourself into thinking, however, that I was inattentive as to the events that followed. Your friend, Doctor Watson, is quit a friend indeed; throwing that firecracker, especially in Briony, was incredibly bold of him. I was truly convinced that there was indeed a fire. That was a valiant attempt of yours to get the photograph back; cleverer by far than those previously attempted by His Majesty of Bohemia. You should count yourself flattered; not very often do I encounter a man with wit equivalent to mine. His Majesty is, of course, more than welcome to keep the photograph; I have no need for it now. I would prefer it, however, that you do. It pains me to think that you do not have something to remember me by.

I wrote this for my 8th grade English class. It's from the POV of Irene Adler, from Arthur Conan Doyle's "Sherlock Holmes: A Scandal in Bohemia."
