Which, I have never really have thought how adopted people have looked at the situation and how there life is completely different since they are adopted. “Are you sad your birth mother didn’t want you?” someone asked Ellie. When she was asked this I didn’t really know what to think, like I feel that is a question that should never be asked to someone. Mandel says, “I am Chinese. I am American.” I read that and it made me happy that she accepts herself has being adopted and is okay with being different.
