He Was Only Three MAG
I was touched and awestruck after reading “He Was Only Three” by Xindi X. The way her heartfelt words flowed together made me feel like I was with her on the busy streets of Shanghai. I also admired the intense, deep language of the line, “My brother was only three … when he drowned in that traffic sea,” revealing what happened with a metaphor. I really loved this poem – Xindi, you’re a very talented writer.
