Fashion; the glue that holds style, popularity, and much more together.
Most people don’t realize how important fashion is. Even boys need it.
For example, do you think they would be playing video games if all the characters were dressed like clowns? Probably not.
Or in movies, would Actresses look as beautiful as they are in trash cans? No way.
But we also use fashion everyday as well. On the first day of school, everyone picks out their favorite and probably newest outfit to wear. To those of you who say you could live without fashion, think again my dear friend.
This essay is all about fashion, and I hope you like it.

What do you think of when you hear the word Fashion? Some of you might picture Magazines or fashion shows, while others imagine clothes at the store or even modeling agencies. But what is the definition of Fashion and how does it compare to societies idea of it? The dictionary definition of Fashion is;
fash·ion /?faSH?n/
(noun) a popular trend, esp. in styles of dress and ornament or manners of behavior. "his hair is cut in the latest fashion" synonyms: vogue, trend, craze, rage, mania, fad; a manner of doing something. "the work is done in a rather casual fashion" synonyms: manner, way, method, mode, style;
(verb) make into a particular or the required form. "the bottles were fashioned from green glass" synonyms: construct, build, make, manufacture, fabricate, tailor...etc.
Now that you know what the dictionary says, take your definition and compare and contrast the two. How were they similar and how were they different? How has today's culture edited and revised the way we see things? Other things such as modeling and photography has changed too.
For example, in the 60's, the model Twiggy gave the fashion industry a new style, with short hair and unrealistic expectations we all believe to be in the norm; Thin waist, huge eyes, great skin. With such a rapid style switch, it’s likely that fashion will change again.
"Out with the old and in with the new," is a good quote for this type of thing.
In 20 years, do you think the way we see fashion will change? According to many, those chances are high. Who knows, maybe Fashion will be something totally different. Decide for yourself and pass it on.

I wrote this because I am a fashion designer and I was bored. I hope you like it and share it with your friends. :)

i'm not a fashionist, Liv.Harris. I wear only clothes thatare comfortable and that let me be able to run and move, but I thought this was really good. Really. I agree with you, fashion is used in life. Thanks for sharing this.
