My Mother's Raven Tresses MAG
My mother's raven tresses,
Her ebony crown that she wears in pride,
giving her fresh youth.
Over her shoulders spilling down her back
As I follow her with an impending kiss.
Like the long curves of her soft hand,
And her expanding smile
That wrinkles the corners of her eyes and
The end of her nose,
She lets me spot her
In the middle of a crowd
Full of mothers and stranger
After my performance in the show.
With the hum of the moving train
And my arm draped around her neck,
As my tiny hand clutches her silken strands
While I sleep,
To know that when I wake,
She will be there.
