The hurt that stays hidden

you cant believe what your seeing
you try to tell your self it's not real
hurting another human being
thats a feeling i won't feel
trust is a thing inside
not for the faint of heart
not for the person that walks beside
i knew it from the start
i thought i wanted to be your friend
but i now realize that thought was just pretend
