Untitled MAG
Theslope of this equation
is the long stretch of sand
at sunset
whereorange light
catches
my shadow
and pulls it out along the silk
ofthis smooth beach
the rise over run
of these tasteless numbers
X overY
where our shadows meet and cross
a black x on the sand
quiversslightly
at what speed
and the orange deepens
delves down into therainbow
to blue, indigo, violet
until our X is lost in the eternity
ofthis black night
lost in the flurry of fractions
and decimals that can'tever
reach the sun
