city symphony
The sound of numerous taxi cabs filled his ears
that’s the only sound that he hears these days
he no longer hears the symphony of the outside world
no longer feels the warm lips of mother nature kiss him the joy of the warm sun
the radio in the vehicle had no music, only the dull sound of static
he didn’t like the silence; silence leaves him alone in his own thoughts
pondering thoughts that leave nothing but an empty slot
when he touches his lips he still can feel the lingering taste of vodka
the flask has a cold composer leaving no music behind
but a feeling of an empty auditorium
he leaves the car without a warning
he can feel the light drizzle of snow against his bare skin
every flurry leaving a music note
until he hears a full orchestra
and he’s the composer in charge of when and where the sounds will start and finish
