Land of the Wild
Take me to the land of the wild,
Where the wild Sun sets.
Take me to see the Lion’s child,
Glistening in the heat with sweat.
Let me see the elephants,
Stomping through the land.
Let me see the jaguar sniffing scents,
Preying on antelopes in the sand.
Why do men destroy?
Then I can’t see the land of the wild.
I can’t see the lion’s boy,
I can’t see the gazelles’ child.
I can’t see the elephant stomp,
Their steady earthquake beat.
I can’t see the zebra romp,
Stamping with their hooven feet.
Why do men destroy?
Oh why, oh why, oh why?
They’ve wrecked my only joy!
I don’t want to kiss the wild goodbye!
So help me take care of the land of the wild.
Where the wild Sun sets.
Stop those who are cruel and vile,
Or you shall surely taste your regrets.
