shattered

From an early age I was broken.
Being put down,
trying to get up again.
He knocked me when I was down,
kicked me to the ground.
And now I'm shattered,
Broken in pieces on the floor.
I remain shattered.
Not knowing what to do,
not knowing who to be.
I can feel the anger bubbling inside me.
When will it end?
When will I be set free?
Well, that's up to me.
