By the Tree
I remember when I was young,
My mother always had one rule,
I will always wait by the tree
To get picked up after school.
And everyday, I stayed there,
Just waited there for my mommy.
Sometimes she came minutes later
But that never really scared me.
But one day, as I waited for mom,
To pick me up just the same,
I waited there longer than usual,
Yet mom never came.
And I waited and waited,
Just me, by myself, alone.
I waited for my mom to come,
I waited to go home.
But mom never came,
Mother had to go.
When will I see her again,
That I don't know.
But it's been 10 years now
I never saw my mom again.
It's been 10 lonely sad years,
The saddest they ever been.

This is a true story I have been told about a girl who waited by the tree for her mom to come home but her mom was hit in a car crash that made her past away. I thought I could put it into words for this tragic accident. Enjoy.
