T. E. E. N.
Torment and Torture is
what I call being a teen
Embarrassing and Exhausting is
what I call being a teen
Extraneous and Empty is
what I call being a teen
Nasty and Negative is
what I call being a teen
But
Thrill-filled and Transforming is
also what I call being a teen
Exhilarating and Enjoyable is
also what I call being a teen
Exquisite and Enormous is
also what i call being a teen
Natural and Nourishing is
also what i call being a teen
No matter what you think
being a teen
is like,
just remember that
everyone goes through this
stage of life,
And you aren’t alone
-We are all alike in many ways despite our internal and external differences

I decided to write this because of the way I feel about the treatment of teens in modern day society. Often times we get pushed away from adults and called children because we are in between being a child and being an adult. We also get tormented for our endless drama and all the things that go on in our lives. Sometimes adults need to remember that they were once just like us.
