I Don't See You
When I look at you
I see everything that you are not
The slight curl in your hair as it falls down your back
The slight green tint to your blue eyes
Your little freckles under your eyes
The way your skin glistens as the sun hits it
The crooked smile that stretches across your face when you’re embarrassed
But most importantly the pain behind it
That I will never understand
I hate that
Anyone can observe your substantial traits
I want to know what’s behind it
Why can’t I see you?
