He shines like a star in a cloudless night,
She comes beside him with all her might.
They dance 'til it's already sunrise,
Then comes Death with all his lies.

He tries to outdo Death,
She slowly tries to take one last breath.
"My work here is done", Death said,
He laughed and laughed 'til we all fled.

The princess takes one last breath in life,
The prince goes around to take up a knife.
He wants to die because she is no more,
He'd better be with her soul rather than with her gore.

"Don't kill yourself, your time is not now,
You've got to kill Death, I'll tell you how."
A voice inside the prince told him all.
He hurried up lest something may befall.

He saw Death and proved his love all along.
Death had never seen anyone so strong.
They fought and fought till Death got weak,
The prince gave one last blow and kiled Death under the moonlight streak.

He gave himself a jerk in the head.
He was just dreaming, she was right there ahead.
He still shone like a star in a cloudless night,
She came back beside him with all her might.
