Reflection

The mirror is a funny thing
Your reflection never lies to you
The person looking back,
Is your key to the truth.

You may not like what you hear
You may what to cry
But sometimes you need truth
To know your true flaws

You will not see me giving up
I take in what I learn
You’ll see me becoming someone new
A true person to behold

I won’t shudder at what I look like
I will see the bright light
Coursing from inside of me
The warmth it gives me

You will not see me introverting
Not speaking to the truth
I will not become a ghost of existence
I will not hate the glimmer in my eyes

Sometimes to become confident
You have to know yourself
You have to except the reflection
You have to love you

You will not see me giving up
I will take in what I learn
You will see me becoming new
I know it will be true.
