Tickets, Why So Few?
Drain from me this contentedness
Of which I am not assured
I gave you your heart back
A pretty, little thing
And yet, you still hold mine
We kissed while the Ferris wheel
Still slowly turning
Came to a wrenching stop
Only to end this brilliance
On which I’d spent my time
Breathing is no longer a necessity
An ignorant deed, so simplistic
Drinking in your fruitful pain
That you ripped from my mouth
Higher you said, and I followed
Standing, rulers of this feared place
A shallow misunderstanding
Awaits us in the city
Mumbling incoherently you sank
So quickly, time froze in it place
To leave me standing all alone
Rational thoughts caught by the spiders of my mind
Hungry little things
And came plummeting after you
But your ticket was not meant for two
We left a mess, my dear
Shattered on the icy cracked ground
Insects bide their time with this
Leaving behind, no one will find
A ticket that should have been meant for two
