My Boyfriend
I met the man of my dreams when I was only four years old,
I fell in love with him on our first date,
Now that we’ve grown up, it has gotten harder,
I sometimes get jealous because I have to share him with other girls,
It’s not his fault though; he just creates passion in others,
I have changed myself for him many times, and this always frustrates me,
He has broken my heart before,
But I am still most comfortable with him in my arms,
He gives me success instead of jewelry,
Happiness instead of flowers,
We have never taken our relationship to the next level, though it has always been a dream of mine.
Maybe someday, I will have a real human love, but for right now, I am perfectly happy constantly working to improve my tough-love relationship with my boyfriend, basketball.
