Someday
When the world
is no longer
violent
angry
judgmental
towards me

I will live shamelessly

Someday
When you realize
You are not perfect
I really did love you
And that what you want
is not
what you need

I will be with you

Someday
When my heart
isn't fighting my
mind and
my spirit is no
longer broken
beyond belief

I will live happily

Someday
When I am
old and
aged and
scarred
from
love

I will live regret-free

Someday
When I am
On top of the world
Deciding the fates
of those who
did me so
terribly wrong

I will live kindly

Someday
When all seems
Lost and pointless
and I have
little to hold onto

I will remember
when I wrote this
and smile
a thousand smiles

and LIVE.

My name is Allison, this poem is basically everything I've been trying to tell myself for the past 4 and a half years but in free verse form, and different words.

For what the compliment of someone who criticizes you is worth, I simply adored this poem. It filled me with a combination of joy and hope, and it's very well written. You write with beautiful wisdom. So well done!
