Blood
Broken and Mangled
Left in this ditch
Of pitch black death
Of dead dreams
Doomed to ever come back to life
Filled with nightmares
That so many have woke up screaming from
With torn sheets
A cold sweat dripping off their disheveled hair
Pulse beating like a humming birds’ wings
On a warm summer’s day
Body as hot as the tip of a branding iron
Blood
Running from open wounds
From hate of the world
Hope that never was fulfilled
Of remembrance of what I have become
Of what you reminded me that I was all along
Everything I will ever be
