All the Time
Time is never on my side.
There's always enough of it
to grieve,
but never enough to be
thankful.
They say that
"Life is short,"
but sometimes it
doesn't feel so.
Hours drag on,
with nothing to do,
but think about you.
And sometimes I'll check my watch and
realize six hours went by.
I'll struggle and rush
to make up for the time
that I spent,
with you.
