what I am.
I am what I am and nothing else.
I wonder why people just can’t understand that.
I hear my alarm go off in the morning,
And see it going to be just the same as always.
I want to be able to do something that interests me.
I am what I am and nothing else.
I pretend to care about most things,
But I feel bored of them.
I touch the keys as I rattle off another meaningless assignment.
I worry about nothing because nothing is relevant.
I cry about the future.
I am what I am and nothing else.
I understand that things are important,
Though I say I do not care.
I dream that everything pans out in a hallmark card manner.
I try to find a meaning,
And hope that I’m doing things right
I am what I am and nothing else.
