A Morning Dreary
Waltzing out of bed dazed and weary
I awake to a morning dreary
Giving ear to Nature’s Symphony
Beyond my white framed bedside window.
Crystal droplets dancing in harmony
On liquid pools of glass
Spill over my striped bed sheets
Like a broken hourglass
Glazing my bed with precious diamonds.
I clench a corner
And send a Tsunami to the opposite corner
Firing them skyward like shooting stars.
Drifting back to my velvet bed of clouds
I strike up a conversation with the Man in the Moon
Spending an otherwise splendid afternoon among the stars.
