Can you fly through clouds of rain?
Or does the
weight of water
pull
your
wings
down?
Show me how
to keep my words struggling
against the beat of the drum
Despite all my improvised melodies
I am still a slave
to the same incessant
rhythm
I will not lose myself to find you
let me be tempted instead by
the snow resting a moment on my eyelashes
the anticipation of heat against my skin
Seduce my mind into drowning
Who is tormenting whom?
