Waves claimed you
Like the arms of a siren maiden with
A conscience,
'Cause they spit you back up onto
The shore
Before your insides could become an
Ocean within
You,
And when you were a desert again I realized
How you would actually
Die,
Not by a mermaid's kiss and a stolen
Soul,
But by the trying to travel the
Mouthwatering
Distance
That exists between the oasis of my desert
And yours;
Yeah,
I think the mamihlapinatapai will
Kill you faster
And then what's the use of your lonely
Soul?
