Sometimes I feel cold. And empty. And sad. I am a body with no soul walking around lifelessly trying to shield myself from things that may hurt me. And although I'm hurting, it no longer feels like missing someone. It's a matter of distracting yourself and trying not to care. Because when you don't care, everything is easier. Sometimes, it actually works. I'll forget about all the pain, I'll forget about the sadness and the desires and the aching. Because I am all those things. And in some crazy way, when you no longer feel thee things, but you become them, they turn into numbness. You turn into numbness. You are numb. And it's times like this that I truly believe that's the best thing for everyone. When I'm alone and I shield myself, I won't have to worry about anyone hurting me. Because I am by myself. People cannot be trusted, people cannot be loved. Cause in the end, you get hurt. The reason being, a person only loves themselves.
But from a positive point of view, from the optimistic people, they ask you to surround yourself with love. They tell you to inspire, to become inspired. They tell you it's okay to fall apart so you can grow back stronger. And that our past shouldn't affect the person we want to be in the future. And the mistakes we make don't create us, but how we learn from them and how we fix them does. And that it's okay to want to be liked, it's okay to try, it's okay to care. But don't get so caught up in trying to be someone else, that you turn into what you're pretending to be. That sometimes even though we fight with the person we love, sometimes the fights are worth it. Only because you both care. Don't over think so much that you create problems that aren't really there. Live in the moment.
