Fireworks Can't Be Relit
Can we start again
Forget all the pain
As if we just met
As if we weren't like fire and rain
That's how I feel
That's how much I want back the love that I knew
But even I know that's impossible
Because once fireworks are lit
You can never light them again
The choices we make in life
Either break us or build our lives
Either kill us or help us survive
But over and over
When you come closer
I find myself searching
Searching for air
Because it's hard to breathe
Why'd I have to go there
And now I can't leave
I'm trapped in your stare
And that is where I will live.
But even I know this bit
That once fireworks are lit
You can never light them again
You can never be the same
Oh sweet love...such an awful game
