Short dresses

pretty faces

hidden fractures

at awkward places.

Bubble hearts

break apart

the slightest touch

is poisoned dart.

Fears tower
words empower
and saltwater
runs like showers.

And here we burn

as tables turn

the myth of learning..

we come, to mourn.

Thank you! I'm lucky to have found a reader as great as you, Allen.

Thanks, I had not really expected such compliments for this particular poem, so it really means a lot. @SaphiraBrightscales @Amai-kun

OHMYGOODNESS This is possibly the best short-sentenced-rhyming poem (as in poem of its kind) that I have read on here. It has left me completely at a loss for words! Although it is extremely (extremely!) hard to pick, I'd say the second stanza is my most favourite. I WANT TO READ MORE POETRY. You post little :'(

I usually don't like the rhymed poems I see here on Teen Ink because a lot of them are amateur and awkwardly rhymed, but this absolutely blew me away. It's like all of the words just shape themselves in your thoughts. Your poetry seems almost effortless. *fanboys*

The pain that have cost us, the evils which have never happened. <br /> - Thomas Jefferson

This is incredible. I love reading something and seeing words put together in a way I have never imagined. Just reading the first stanza, I was like wow, I need to read the rest of this!
