A Minute Part
You were happy to be a minute part of my life
I was happy, too, but sixty seconds passed so fast
You sat on the long hand and went for a ride
Each tick of the clock pulled you far from my side
The hours went flying because you blinked
No longer a little girl- now I'm seventeen
I remember when you were here all the time
Now it's a holiday whenever you're around
I want time to go back or can you stop for a second
The long hand is on seven, can you come for eleven
And be a minute part of my life once again
