Jealousy
Just a brain child, born from self deprecation,
Emerging from a shell of pain and aggravation
And nurtured day to day in the crib of imagination,
Left to grow and fester with ferocious contemplation
Of the things it can not have, will not acquire, life's limitation,
Using strands of self doubt, it spins a horrible creation,
Sucking up all joy, strangling all appreciation,
Your envy egg needn't have hatched, but for its incubation.
