Last Regrets
Last regrets
I lay my head on your shoulder
You turn away
I say good morning
You don't say the same
You sit down next to me
But no words are exchanged
How can things change so fast?
I'm almost afraid to ask,
Baby, what's going on?
Yesterday you were talking 'bout flowers,
But now I'm crying in the shower
Maybe there is something I missed...
Do you regret this?
You never read my poetry,
And what I'd give for you to argue with me,
'Cause at least we'd be talkin'.
They all say we're perfect,
But my best friend warned me
Not to jump face first.
But I tripped and fell,
And now you seem to be telling me
That all's not good and well...
How can you change so fast?
Now I'm afraid to ask,
Baby, what's going on?
I know you were talking 'bout flowers,
But now the sky is letting loose a shower of rain.
Are you worth this strain?
Do I regret this?
You are my first kiss...
