The Girl Next Door
If you really knew the girl next door
You’d know she wishes she was so much more
If you looked in her eyes
You’d see she lives behind a world of lies
Stuck in a life of horrible dreams
She hopes that one day it will be okay
And that someone will hear her screams
And take her away
Love is something she’s never known
Instead of affection she’s thrown
Drowning in pain
Thinking she has nothing to gain
Look into the soul of the innocent girl next door
Listen to her cries
Behind her disguise
So she won’t have to hide anymore
