Batting Cage
Sweats n’ scars
Damp face n’ red eyes
How am I supposed to start when the beginning is so far?
I sit, n’ stare, imagine and lye
Of a place where I can be free and not in the dark
Why am I the one you seem to despise?
When I can be more than of what you put aside
I am more, I am free, I am what I am.
Anger, Rage, Shouting, Disgrace,
It’s a life, in a batting cage.
Your motivation, your strive, your way to survive
That is, my kind of life
