Letters
Put my pen to paper
Let my thoughts flow out
How are you?
I wish I could say I was better than I am
But I'm holding on
I know you'll read every word
But you'll never write back
No it's far too late for that
I'll put my pen to paper
And tell you a story
I'll put my heart out on the line
For you to see
You're a true friend
But you don't say a word to me
But every day
I'll write these letters to you
This pen flows across the paper
Everything's spilling out
I keep nothing to myself
The tears, the laughs
And all that's in between
I know you'll listen
I know you'll read
I know you'll see every part of me
But I don't care
I'm just looking for a friend
I'll put my pen to paper
And tell you a story
I'll put my heart out on the line
For you to see
You're a true friend
But you don't say a word to me
But every day
I'll write these letters to you
Do you keep them in a box underneath your bed?
I know you'll save every letter you've ever read
Oh, no you won't tell a soul what I've said
No it's far too late for that
I'll put my pen to paper
And tell you a story
I'll put my heart out on the line
For you to see
You're a true friend
But you don't say a word to me
But every day
I'll write these letters to you
