Be Brave
Please don't tell me
That I should be brave.
Please don't tell me
That it'llbe okay.
I can't be brave.
I can't look at his lifeless face;
Not after I know what he's done.
I used to think
That he was my forever.
I was so wrong.
Please don't tell me
That I should be brave.
I'm too afraid to go there now.
I'm too afraid she'll be around.
It seems like I can't focus,
When fear rules my life.
It was so wrong,
What she did to me.
Please don'ttell me
That I should be brave.
I had seen too much;
Their memories haunt me,
Even to this day.
I can still see them;
Both before and after
They were killed.
So please don't tell me
That I should be brave.
I can't be brave.
I won't be brave.
There are just some things in life,
That I can't face.
There's fear, there's worry.
I can't help
But let it rule my life.
Please don't tell me
That I should be brave.
It takes time, I know.
Every wound that doesn't kill you,
Will always heal.
It may leave a scar,
But that's okay.
It makes you who you are.
So one last thing:
You need to be brave.
