20 Roses
Twenty roses in my head,
No thorns, no wilting, painted red,
No broken stems, no petals shed,
Ready to see what more’s ahead,
A rose for every trait that I can see,
A rose for every oddity,
A rose for every form of glee,
A rose for you’s a rose for me.
One for that smile, made of gold,
Bright and gleaming, all behold,
One for those eyes, the missing link,
I shed a tear everytime you blink,
One for your mind so genuine,
Every thought and confession,
One for the way you tend to traipse,
What brings me down and makes me break,
One for your laugh so original,
To make my fun is criminal,
That’s five things that make you you,
Please don’t change, no, nothing new.
Twenty roses in my head,
No thorns, no wilting, painted red,
No broken stems, no petals shed,
Ready to see what more’s ahead,
A rose for every trait that I can see,
A rose for every oddity,
A rose for every form of glee,
A rose for you is a rose for me.
One for your heart, caring and good,
You do you and that you should,
One for your words, spoken so sweet,
So intelligent and spoken neat,
One for each joke that have told,
The sense of humor you do hold,
One for the hair upon your head,
A strand for every heart you’ve lead,
One for the way you tend to love,
Your family, friends, and God above,
That’s ten things that make you you,
Please don’t change, no, nothing new.
Twenty roses in my head,
No thorns, no wilting, painted red,
No broken stems, no petals shed,
Ready to see what more’s ahead,
A rose for every trait that I can see,
A rose for every oddity,
A rose for every form of glee,
A rose for you is a rose for me.
One for the talents that you have,
From head to toe, from arm to calve,
One for your tears, so sad, so warm,
A piece of me breaks every time they form,
One for your touch, so calm and soft,
I’d pay to feel it, any cost.
One for your voice, it comforts me,
When I hear you talk, the bad thoughts leave,
One for the smell you leave on clothes,
Smells just like this living rose,
That’s fifteen things that make you you,
Please don’t change, no, nothing new.
Twenty roses in my head,
No thorns, no wilting, painted red,
No broken stems, no petals shed,
Ready to see what more’s ahead,
A rose for every trait that I can see,
A rose for every oddity,
A rose for every form of glee,
A rose for you is a rose for me.
Now you’re expecting five more traits,
But not this time, that’s not your fate,
Those five more roses go to you.
They go to you for being you.
You need to realize nothing favors,
Over you and all your layers,
You stand on top, just don’t forget,
You have no worry, not one threat.
Twenty roses in my head,
No thorns, no wilting, painted red,
No broken stems, no petals shed,
Ready to see what more’s ahead,
A rose for every trait that I can see,
A rose for every oddity,
A rose for every form of glee,
A rose for you is a rose for me.

This is a little piece of work I wrote for a girl I love but I'm unable to inform of my feelings for her. Hope you enjoy reading/singing as much as I enjoyed writing.
