Reality

Tied to earth
Yet spirits free,
Mortals that
Seek liberty.

Clouds touch ground
Then off we run,
Chasing down
That shining sun.

Where do, where do we run?
Why do we run?
Where will you run to?

To me, your heart is the sea
So vast and deep
Nobody has seen it all.

High above
War rages on,
Killing love
With machine guns.

Strip the land
Down to the dirt;
You don't feel
It when you're hurt.

How come, how come we run?
Where can I run?
Where will you run to?

To me,
In your eyes I see
Pain that cuts deep
Sanctuary will come.

Sometimes "home" is not a home;
Sometimes real ain't skin and bone...
