Teenagers

We are forced to be in a building
with random people we do not know
expected to get along
but have nothing in common tho
we try to get good grades
tryna get that 4.0
under so much pressure to get better and grow

We try to blend in
but standout in some special way
all have personal struggles
that we try to conquer everyday
we all might be high school students
but have so much on our plates
responsibilities filling up
just tryna graduate

While some of us are athletes
some of us are nerds
and some of us aren't worried that much about school work
we might all be different
but in some ways we’re the same
and we’re all special in our own kind of way
