&ldquo; Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I&#039;m not sure about the universe.&rdquo; <br /> ― Albert Einstein

(Verse 1)

A man is struggling, he desperately needs help. The struggle's internal. He's fighting himself. He can often be found talking alone, even though it's never inside his home. He's talking to himself about how he will die. The voices are breaking him to the point where he will cry.

(Chorus)

I need help. I feel pain. I want to cry but feel ashamed. If I do so, I'm admitting defeat, so I'm trying to be so very discreet.

(Verse 2)

He's cutting and cutting to the point where he will bleed, bringing him closer to the help he desperately needs. He finally gets help dealing with the voices, which up until this point had been making all his choices. While he's in the hospital, he finds inspiration which will be his only motivation.

(Chorus)

(Verse 3)

He stays there a while, longer than most. He comes homem to a chicken roast. Now he's in partial, only there for half of a day. During the night, he can finally do as he may. After he's done with partial, he will feel so free, but then you realize, that man is me.

The author's comments:

This is intended to be sung as rap. I wrote it while I was actually in a partial program for depression and is an accurate account of my story. The line about a chicken roast, while true, is in there because this was written at 3 A.M. and it needed at least some comedy.
