Why Me?
Underlying thoughts,
Forever haunting.
Un-fought foes,
Tall and daunting.
Battles won, some lost,
But at what cost?
Why me? I must ask.
Why’d you stab me,
In the back.
Why lie, for no reason.
Must just be the season.
What was almost lost,
Was kept safe.
Too important,
For you to take.
Almost ripped,
From my grasp.
Why me? Is all I ask.
What happened before
Is in the past.
But what was done,
Is sure to last.
