My Fight
As I listen to the rain fall outside,
it sounds like a beautiful melody.
It makes me think of every time I’ve cried
and truly wish I had some company.
The pain and fear I face is far too great
and no one but my siblings really understand.
The sun will shine and contemplate our fate;
I will always be there holding their hand.
The good thoughts we share remain in our minds
and will stay there until the day we die.
My brain and heart are both in massive binds,
showing that I’m not ready for goodbyes.
Together we stand facing life as one,
but how long till the battle will be won?
