Forgetting You
My love for you it burns a secret flame
No one can ever know the way I feel
For love to you is only just a game
Against the world my heart I’ve had to steel
My feelings are a river running deep
While yours are only just a shallow stream
At night I can not seem to fall asleep
Your face is always haunting all my dreams
Each day a river I am drowning in
Each night a darkness with no hope of light
A losing battle I can never win
For love always puts up a greater fight
I’m someone you don’t care about I bet
So leave me now so you I can forget
