The Glass Castle is a real page turner. I love her description because it was not an overwhelming amount, some authors describe in to much detail. She has a way with words to show what she really felt growing up in that type of environment. She does not sugar coat her life and tells exactly what happened in her life. From the very beginning of her life she had to take care of herself. There mother and father let the kids do pretty much anything. In the very beginning of the book I loved when she goes from present to her past. Through her book she shows that, no matter what the conditions you grow up at home you can succeed in life. The book hooked me at the first page and I am still being constantly dragged into the book. The relationship between her parents and her is strained, They fight quit a lot. I love in her style how she adds a little bit of humor into her story even with the experiences she had she still put it in. It created much needed comic relief. It is a very fun piece of literature to read. It has made me constantly want to read it! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
