The Story of Boy Meets Girl
Clickety-clack, her shoes softly tap down the street.
Perfect ringlets cascade down her shoulders.
Her voice is light as air as she sings little nursery rhymes.
The playful boy watches the innocent girl in awe.
They're only little children....
yet he's already in love.
Just entering middle school.
The still oh-so playful boy shares little looks with the still oh-so innocent girl.
Look, smile, and blush becomes their daily routine.
Nothing can get rid of the girl's blush and the boy's dazed smile as they share their first kiss.
High school.
So big, so scary, goes by so fast...
Yet the boy and girl can't help getting stuck in their own little world, thinking about moments shared.
Years later,
the not-so playful boy meets the not-so innocent girl once more.
The little looks are no longer shared, and are now replaced with looks of sorrow and regret.
They are no longer thinking of moments shared....but rather moments of heartbreak.
They have now seen cruelty the world can possess.
