falling
I fell in love with a falling star but she didn't feel the same so I had to let her go.
I fell in love with lost light but she was going too fast and escaped between the cracks of my finger tips
I fell in love with a super nova combustion vapor by vapor
Long before she crashed I counted her diamond encrusted particles, so impractical she used to say
But they cast such a beautiful light I stole some and hang them in my room,
And she never saw even when I came with my hands dusted with silver light and bits of stars
I never told her this even when she told me she left something missing in her life, I was too afraid
For my sake, the void was cold and very empty and I didn't know how long she would be away
Because, truthfully, I had fallen for her from the top story of the empire State Building and never looked
But afterwards I captured all the fallen pieces and put them in a glass jar like fireflies
I fell in love with a falling star
And I kept falling
And Falling
Falling
I burned up in her atmospheric pressure
And achieved maximum velocity
And never looked back
