Despondency
The forest,
the one in
my mind,
that forest is no longer sunny,
with flowers and smiles;
the soil has been poisoned
by my thoughts,
the butterfly’s wings have been
broken,
marked by my scars.
The sun has been
darkened
by the clouds of my sorrow.
Rain falls too often,
like the tears from my
eyes.
The trees have been cracked,
shattered along with my
heart.
The forest,
The one in
my mind,
is dead.
